New Photos

I met a woman online who is in China right now adopting her son. Her son is in the same orphangage as our baby. Before she left, I was lucky enough to get her Madelynn's info. She spoke with the orphanage yesterday and they said she would be able to get pictures for us on Friday. So we are looking forward to Friday. Stay tuned.

Update on the Process

We are on a mission. We received the email on October 10th letting us know that we have been matched with our baby girl. Moments after the email, I was on the phone ordering birth certificates, marriage licenses, and background checks. I was also quick to email Phil, our dear social worker, who tolerates all of our neurotic ideas in an effort to get our paperwork done as quickly as possible.

Well to bring everyone up to speed. We have had one homestudy visit out of the 4 that our required and are currently waiting to get our background check from the Dept of Children and Families. This is the last piece of paperwork before Phil can complete the homestudy and then we start waiting on the immigration paperwork to go through.

We are very fortunate, I connected with another mom, who is in Hefei right now getting her son. She is going to try and take some photos of Madelynn while she is there. I am very excited and hope that she is allowed to do so. Our Pre-Approval letter is suppose to be off to China on Monday. Well I need to run we are going to a trunk-or-treat festival at the local church. We are taking 3 Power Rangers and a Ninja--I am hoping next year I might have a princess in the group.
